Beach Walk

The new carpet was fitted in the girls' bedroom this morning so at lunch time we moved the furniture back in, and then I made the beds and brought the toys back in.  It looks really lovely and I can't wait for them to see it when they come on Saturday - they don't know it's been decorated, so it'll be a nice surpise.

This afternoon I went to see mum, but today's visit upset me as something's wrong which I assume is since her fall on Monday.  Her mobility wasn't very good and she was struggling to speak - she didn't seem to be able to find the words.  She kept apologising for being a nuisance and said 'it's all gone wrong'.  I asked her what she meant, and she said that she'd been walking and moving around really well and now she'd gone back to not being able to.  I told her to take her time and it would come back.

I spoke to the carer and said that I was concerned as I've never seen her like this before.  She said the district nurse saw her yesterday and changed the dressing on her head, and tomorrow they had Doctor's rounds, so they will ask the doctor to see her. I came away feeling quite upset and went for a walk on the beach to clear my head.
