Corstorphine Hill
Out with my friend walking the dogs on Corstorphine Hill this morning, we climbed through a hole in the fence to explore the abandoned bunker. Once used as Sector Operation's Headquarters during World War 2, the building was later designated as a Regional Seat of Government in the event of a nuclear attack during the Cold War. My friend's dad, as Harbourmaster, had right of access to the bunker. Destroyed by fire in the early '90s, the site is now a favourite haunt of grafitti artists.
