Fresh Baguettes
I went to church today, again at St. André Cathedral. Church attendance has dramatically dropped since Palm Sunday and Easter. Only about a quarter of the church was filled.
Afterwards, there was a tiny farmer's market right outside. This vendor is selling baguettes and other pastries. In the background, right in front of the lady in white, there are canalés. Canalés are a special pastry from Bordeaux. It's made of egg, milk, flour flavored with rum and vanilla. The custard batter is then baked in a special mold.
When I got home, I took a nap and tried to get things done. Hopefully by tonight, I can finish my last paper. I only have about two more sections to write in about two pages. I'll cross my fingers in hopes that I will finish...
