A long time ago

It’s R’s birthday today, but she is not at home. We had a call from S at lunchtime to set up a ‘happy birthday message’. It was a bit chaotic as he was sitting in his car outside work and we were on our settee at home. 

We got there in the end, with much hilarity. We should have recorded it last Friday when he was over for dinner. But it’s done now and sent via WhatsApp to her. She was delighted.

 Went to needles and natter this afternoon. I’ve started knitting a cardigan for myself, wool that was in the cupboard and a copy of a pattern from a friend. It will be a useful item to take to   sewing / crafting groups to work on if I have time to kill.
