Wintry lunch

Grey and cold and still all day. I had to dash up to Heathrow to get a PCR test before flying tomorrow.  All very easy back by 11.  I then ran out to do some local errands

We settled down to a soup and cheese lunch, we lit candles and it all felt very pleasant.  H and I did a long walk.   I set to clearing out my office so that Chris can paint it while I am away.  Amazing how many things have ended up just living there for want of anywhere else to go - must remember to build back better! 

Started packing but the concept of a work trip in the sun is so absolutely baffling that I gave up, hoping I’ll be able to do it in the morning  as I am not being picked up until 10pm.
