Taking Off

Herring gulls come across as bully birds, stealing chips from holiday makers.  But I find they are reluctant to come in to the garden for bread if they see me watching.  This one's courage deserted him, which gave the smaller birds a chance.

A few minutes later a fox trotted across the lawn in a brazen fashion.  Unfortunately I didn't manage to grab my camera in time.
