Inverness's New Golden Bridge

This is the New Golden Bridge being put into place over this weekend. It spans the A9 from the Raigmore Estate to the New Campus of the UHI (University of the Highlands and Islands.
It has a length to cover nine lanes and is the longest Single Span Structure in Europe. And it is covered in Gold. It will be seen by motorists approaching Inverness from the south and also by motorists leaving or bypassing from the north.
This will be Inverness's iconic feature, a bit like the Angel of the North is to the North of England. It is hard to capture in all it's glory until all the engineering aids are moved away after this weekend. Then I will post the finished item!
