Walking over Bristol Bridge

To get to the theatre to see the musical Dreamgirls.  Which had fabulous singing and dancing as well as a good story - based loosely on the Supremes I believe - about how women are exploited in the music industry, but can take control of their careers eventually. As I mentioned before my cousin’s daughter is in the group of musicians, playing the saxophone and flute. We met her afterwards at the stage door! Something I’ve not done before :)
The extra is the front of the theatre - I always find it exciting when a lot of people are travelling from all around to assemble at a venue for an event. We showed our covid passes, then had our bags searched, then showed out tickets.  I would say the theatre was about 80% full, and I think I can say everyone enjoyed the show, there was a standing ovation at the end.  A lot of fun and some powerful singing. They’re going all round the U.K. and Ireland - Milton Keynes next!
