so very cold

Samuel and I walked in 16 degree F (-9C) weather this morning, because we waited, and didn't walk when it was 14 degrees. 

Samuel really liked it, which is lovely. 

I am glad I am going to Iceland for an additional reason - I have been testing progressively warmer clothing. I finally accepted that part of comfort is acclimation. Only today with my new alpaca tights under my fleece-lined jeans was I finally warm. (Regular wool makes me itch.) 

I understand that it is colder in Canada. I understand that it is colder in Minnesota. I don't live there.

There is a much greater chance that the event some people wanted to hold in mid-March will be postponed, with the final decision made Monday. People are discussing holding it in September. I very happily waved my hand and let everyone know I have a pre-approved vacation in September, tickets bought, and if they hold it the second half I will not be here. 

Thank you for all the sweet comments yesterday. I'm just going to sit here and bask in them, esp as it is cold outside.
