End of an era
A trip to the dump, under the dead of January when the boys are at school. I took their beloved, but never played with water play table and toddler trampoline (renamed the jumpaline by them). They haven't used them for at least 18 months and are way too big for the jumpaline. I felt very sad getting rid of them, and thought of the happiness these things have when they arrive, an the sorry state they end up in before going to the dump. I recounted this to the husband, however he is still scarred from the Christmas eve we spent putting the jumpaline together, it took ages and we finished around midnight!
Had a lovely time after school with the youngest, the eldest had a play date, so the youngest and I did some errands and went hot coffee / hot chocolate. We choose a sticker book for him and the eldest for doing well in spellings.
Today I'm grateful for:
Time with the youngest
The eldest supporting another boy this morning who was very sad and giving him a hug, before turning his attention to his brother who was also upset and giving him a lovely hug as I left
A few days to relax and feel almost in control
