Completed

this season's tree planting in the wood but still a few more to do in the fields round the house.  So now the thoughts start about when will it rain next?  The soil became noticeably drier over the last few days of planting - look back at 9 January.  Memories of lugging water up to the wood last spring to try to support that season's planting - either that was succesful or the weather last summer was, in the totality, favourable to the trees.  Or a bit of both.
