Opal, from Ebeltoft, Denmark, about to pass under the Kessock Bridge on the flood tide this morning (it cleared it). Making its way towards the sea-lock that is the North end of the Caledonian Canal.
The black and white conversion was a cop-out. Not for the first time with this camera, whilst trying to recover some shadow details, the colours went awry. The grey concrete of the bridge went a weird magenta colour.
Was up at some crazy hour. Not much of a sunrise. A bitterly cold wind in North Kessock, where this was taken. When I eventually made it back home, took an age to warm up.
It was snowing this evening...
