The Ogwen Valley

It’s yet another stunning January day and our visit to the Ogwen valley is rewarded by glorious views of lake and mountain. Up above us, I know that Cwm Idwal and its lake will be sublime, but in reality, I know I’m not up to the walk today, and besides, we still have my sister with us and she is definitely not prepared for hiking up into the mountains. Besides, even from my roadside clamber, the views are more than adequate; mirror-still waters, towering rocks and vegetation painted by the light. 

So, my main today is a view across Llyn Ogwen, with extras showing more, including views across the valley. Unsurprisingly, I find it so very difficult to choose……
