criffel

Sarah went out with the Hart Fell Runners this morning at Mabie Forest, so I went with her in the car and did a walk. It was early, so the trails were very quiet, but two hours later, the forest was filling up with mountain bikers, runners, dog walkers and families visiting the playpark. Its a popular place. I did the "Brown Walk" which is just over 5 miles long and goes through a beautiful old oak wood, from the edge of which you get this lovely view of Criffel, where Sarah, Jess and I were on Thursday.

The clouds cleared away to give a beautiful blue sky day. I've spent an hour or so after lunch filing self assessment forms and getting car insurance quotes, so I'm going outside for a bit more fresh air now :-)

Joe and Kim are visiting later on - so looking forward to seeing them. We haven't given them their Christmas presents yet so have left the tree up...it will be coming down tomorrow!!
