CONE GATHERING

Well, it makes a change from wool gathering. Busy, busy day, but managed a quick break on Windy Hill to gather cones for work (I have such an interesting job). Clyde Muirshiel Park is gradually replacing the somewhat sterile conifer plantations with native species, but at the moment the Norway spruce stand remains and is my favourite cone-gathering spot.

Later had long blether with son and heir who has had a good week in his new job.

Smoked salmon and mussel fish pie for dinner tonight.
