Greater Egrets

Earlier in our holiday we saw a bunch of folks pointing serious looking photography gear at a bunch of trees across the road from the bus stop that we were at. One of them said they were photographing cranes who nest in that part of Tai Po every year, and those birds were still there for our last day in Hong Kong. My sister tells me there might have been a mistranslation, as these birds are definitely (Greater) Egrets, not Cranes. I'm guessing they will hang around until their chicks can fly away.

This was taken with a 200mm lens on a 2.7 crop-factor sensor, but I still had to crop in and would have preferred a 400mm focal length instead. Something tells me this is not an arms race I can win.
