Canteen

I was studying Hotel Management  at Norwich Tech 1972-5 and had met my first real girlfriend Annie on a trip to London in September 1973. She was a trainee nurse at Middlesex Hospital behind Oxford St in London, but was luckily a Norwich girl who spent all her day's off back home. Naturally brilliant for me.

The photo took about 50 years to get to me but I am pretty sure she had popped down to the Norwich Tech canteen, also known as the Trowel & Hammer pub which is in the background, to either pick me up in her Mum's Saab. The pub was awful but cheap! A year of so later, her Mum had persuaded me to buy a Saab!
