Nest Building Time
I felt the promise of spring when I spotted this Bald Eagle carrying a stick in her talons to add to a rather substantial nest. I've seen the eagles at this site before, and look forward to the opportunity to watch them and their young in the weeks ahead. For something different, I decided to go with this mono version, which I got from applying a B&W preset in LR. As is often the case, I think the image is a bit more dramatic when viewed as large. I also saw at least six different Northern Flickers. The one in extras spent quite a while with what I believe is sumac. They are very precise in choosing the tiny seeds.
