And so it begins….

I planned on doing a garden update every Sunday but as it turned out, nothing had happened by yesterday.  The first job was to lift the existing turf but the hire company supplying the turf cutter (at £150 a day!) told our garden man it had been stolen from the last job so they had to source another one.  That arrived by the weekend so he started today.  He’d warned us things would get worse before they got better and he wasn’t wrong!  One skip has now been filled with turf which will be collected tomorrow and a new skip delivered.

He is still on track to finish the whole job by the end of February, weather permitting.  He said that the only thing that might delay things would be if there was a spell of very cold weather which would affect the setting of concrete and mortar.
