More flowers

Margret (next door) brought these in for us a couple of days ago. I put them in a vase in the conservatory to try to prevent them from opening rapidly (or not opening at all - often happens to me with roses). They are behaving beautifully. 

Our event today was a drive to Newcastle for Mum to see the ophthalmologist. Her right eye is very painful and she hoped he would find something and put it right. She had a very comprehensive examination and that ruled out more serious problems. His conclusion is that her dry eyes are causing painful dryness on the cornea. He changed her drops and wants her to try 6 times a day, with new ointment at night.

That's going to keep up both occupied. Perhaps we should set an alarm for each dose.
