Back to the optician this morning to collect mynewglasses. Thought it would be a 5minute job- I was wrong! . They adjusted the fitting which took about 20 minutes but then I wasn’t happy with clarity of vision when I looked up . Had to wait for the optician to be free who then decided that the measurement from the centre of my pupil to the edge of the frame needed a slight adjustment so they have gone back to be remade. It was a very cold and crisp day- lots of ice on the pavements.
Labourer didn’t turn up so just had the bricklayer carrying on with the garage. He is slow but thorough!
In the afternoon I went over to the flooring company to look at options for dealing with the step in front of the kitchen door. I got something I am happy with- didn’t want a big chunk of metal or plastic showing- but of course it’s more expensive. Oh well what’s another £100 in the scheme of things!
