One of our aims when we stopped working was to visit London more often.  However last year for various reasons it didn’t happen apart from the odd meal out.  However today we visited the British Museum (although I struggle to understand why it is called that as most of the artefacts are borrowed from elsewhere!  However it is fascinating and educating and stuffed full of amazing treasures, but a visit to a museum or gallery always makes me realise how little I know about anything!  We wandered for a couple of hours until ‘museum fatigue’ set in.  We visited the shop and bought some prints before a circular walk back to the station took my steps to 15000.  

Home for dinner cooked courtesy of the automatic oven, fire lit and an episode of Vienna Blood.  Excellent day again.  Next trip in February…..probably to the Tower of London.  I researched membership of HRP which includes Kensington and Hampton Court so will be worth joining for the year.
