Sailing The Bay

The wind was up this afternoon, which made for perfect sailing conditions - though not volleyball, which was my reason for being at the beach. I took a break after my first game to get shots of these boats on the bay. I think they were practicing for the 49th Congressional Cup, which unfortunately starts the day we return to Zihuatanejo. This match racing event features world-class skippers from around the globe. Prior Congressional Cups have included a number of America's Cup skippers, including Dennis Conner and Ted Turner. I think these facts were wasted on the couple in the middle of this shot as they didn't seem at all interested in what was happening on the water. I liked the symmetry of the boats and the way the two signposts bookended the action.
