Long Beach Skyline

Today's shot of the Long Beach skyline demanded that I break from my self-imposed mandate to keep the aspect ratio of my entries to their original proportions. There was simply too much uninteresting sky or water in the original photo no matter how I cropped the image. When I gazed out over the ocean from Bluff Park, my eye naturally gravitates to the Port's cranes and the colorful clouds, ignoring the blank sky. The long, rectangular cropping brings this image much closer to what I remembered (which is one of the reason's we take photos) when I released the shutter.
