Maxwell Park
The weather was gorgeous this morning, sunny and frosty so I cancelled yoga and decided to aim for a longish face paced urban walk around some of the Southside. I dropped off Liv’s pink seal that had been left behind on New Years Day and enquired if I could take Islay for a walk fully anticipating that the dog walker would be on his way. Unfortunately the dog walker had just cancelled so I ended up going on an Islay centred walk instead. I think we progressed at around 1.5 miles an hour, for a couple of hours. We found a new park, Titwood Park, I spent a bit time looking at books in the PDSA charity shop while Islay ate treats and talked to the staff, and we finished almost back home looking at the ducks in Maxwell Park. So far my new walking boots are holding up well on paths and roads, they will get a better airing on Sunday. Impromptu lunch with Liv and her mum – raspberries, rice cakes, Greek yoghurt and a homemade muffin stuffed with banana and blueberries.
My first choir rehearsal this evening with the Merchant Voices, via zoom for at least the next 3 weeks. Great fun although I have a lot of catching up to do. Delighted to see three people I know, what are the odds of that in a city-wide choir?
