Twelfth Night
Twelfth Night and workers were busy demolishing the Edinburgh Christmas market but other than that particular hub of activity the city centre was unnaturally quiet. People were obviously either working or isolating which made for a pleasant outing for me.
Later, the Merry Widows gathered for lunch at the home of one of our number. Her house had a wonderful festive feel specially kept for us today. Everything was artistically decorated and put me to shame with what I had managed in the Dower House. Five hours, a gastronomic lunch and 3 glasses of wine later, it was definitely time to leave. This was a very fitting finale to the Festive ten days.
