Main Street

Took my car to the local garage first thing for its MOT.
Came home and took the decorations down.
Then Elaine phoned and we had a catch up and made some plans for the weekend.
Went for a walk around the village , keeping away from where it was soggy as my walking footwear from the past few days are still wet and l didn’t have the right shoes on.
Took this photograph as l came back. 
The building used to be a popular pub at one time but when a bypass was built circumnavigating the village, trade fell as day trippers  (from the Dales or West Coast ) on their way back to the city stopped calling in.
It’s now three houses, rather lovely ones too.
Still have two very good pubs further along this road for the locals.
