Better late than never

I have had this poinsettia for several years.    I did have some red leaves last year but not great.   I put it out in the yard and just let it go.   It kept growing in spite of me but I did give it some plant food maybe in August.  

Now it seems to be saying it was going to do its thing since Christmas is already come and gone.    I think it just gives a perfect example of HOPE...just when things look bad a little thing happens to make everything better.   There is always something good if we just look.

A BIG good thing..I am washing clothes!!!   David came to fix the washer today and said it was as good as new.   When we did the moving around of the washer and dryer the dryer vent  thingy that goes outside was dry rotted and fell apart so after supper I am going to Walmart to get a new vent hose thingy so Jerry can fix this in the morning.   The clothes in the washer are the dogs blankets so they are going on the clothesline overnight.     Thankful that young men who learned a skill at their daddy's side are using that skill to make a living.
