Tuesday tulips

These tulips are gradually fading but they have been beautiful! The red ones open out but the yellow and purple ones stay closed but retain their bright colour.

It is an emergency blip as I had a somewhat full day with Pilates and stretch clad this morning followed by making leek and potato soup. On my way home from the exercise class I was enjoying the sunny but cold weather and thought I may go across to mount edgcumbe but suddenly remembered that I was going out for a New Years drink with my friend Jane. She chose honky tonk wine bar and we had a glass of red wine, primitivo , and we had a lovely couple of hours yarning and then she insisted on paying as a treat for my birthday on Friday! A real treat. So thankful for great friends!
