I observed Mrs. Cardinal taking a moment to check out this morning’s offerings. She spotted something she liked because shortly after this picture was taken she left her perch for the ground • It was a cold start to the day, only 0 degrees, but hang on because it will be raining by this time tomorrow, then, there’s plowable snow coming Friday. What a crazy winter! • Stop the presses, here’s some good news: I peeked outside after dark last night hoping to find deer silhouettes, but instead found Foxy Frida scrounging around under the feeders! It’s the first sighting in almost a week. Hopefully she will find the cat food I set out for her tonight • Before grocery shopping today we stopped by the river for a short while. It was mostly ice covered except for a couple of small patches of open water where mallards, gulls and mergansers were congregated. If not for the rise in temperatures tomorrow the smelt shacks would likely be placed out on the ice this week • Be well, Blip Friends!
