Sophie - Lost In Music!

As it was still pitch black when I set off for golf this morning and I hadn’t bothered looking through the curtains, I didn’t realise it was raining (that fine misty rain that hangs in the air and soaks you) until I stepped out the door, by which time it was too late to phone Henri and discuss giving it a miss.

Thus it was that we stood outside the clubhouse in the drizzle 20 minutes later, talking ourselves out of setting off for the first tee: we knew it was the sensible thing to do - soggy, muddy ground, chilly wind, wet club grips, temporary greens and the prospect of a soaking - and, for once common sense prevailed and we set off for home without a club swung in anger or a curse uttered.

Needless to say, an hour later the rain had stopped and the sun was peeping through the curtain of clouds.

I made the weekly bread and Tess and I talk a morning walk.

School was back today so, being Tuesday, we picked Sophie up from school. Her dance class doesn’t start until next week but she wanted her weekly sleepover. In the absence of organised dancing, she decided to have a bit of a knees up in the living room, school uniform and all.

As you can see, we haven’t got round to taking down the decorations yet.
