Incident

There's a cheap hostal just around our block. It occupies the entresuelo or lower-ceilinged first floor of the red brick building you see.   Its fairground multi-coloured strip lighting has given it a dodgy air since it opened three years back.  Four police squad cars and three ambulances were in attendance, at the height of the incident. And the dodgieness was, perhaps, confirmed when two policemen got garbed up in riot gear, complete with helmets and shields and went in, followed by two stretcher trollies. We didn't hang about for the final denouement.  We will check the papers tomorrow.
