Snow day!

We were pretty happy to get word from the schools early this morning that today would be a snow day. It was a lovely kind of snow, too, that outlines the trees and yards but is easily plowed. When I. and I set out in the early afternoon for her doctor's appointment, the sky had turned blue and the roads were mostly clear. 

Not so for all the county's unpaved backroads and parking lots, however. And since we're headed down to 19/20 degrees tonight (-7C), another snow day has been called for tomorrow. D. is very pleased. :-)
