Packing

Well …. 20 months ago we booked a trip to Antarctica, Falklands and South Georgia. Then with the Covid situation we hoped but thought it was unlikely to happen.

In October Argentina was removed from the UK red list so it really felt optimistic and planning resumed. Then in December omicron arrived and there followed a rollercoaster of nerve-shredding uncertainty as we watched the news - rising numbers, countries banning the Brits and flight cancellations.

However, it was too late to cancel, we’d lose everything. So we planned to go, had a very quiet Christmas and arranged all the necessary tests and paperwork.

Today was all about packing, and allowing ourselves to feel a little optimistic!
