Hellebore "Ice breaker"

After "The Mate" went home I had my first wander round the garden for 2022.  Seeing these buds just starting to open seemed like a suitable blip to start the year with.

We have had this Helleborus niger for a while.  The bright white is very noticeable from the kitchen window.  New flowers for a New Year seemed singularly appropriate.   Fingers crossed this year sees the end of the Covid, at least as a disease that kills and hospitalises lots of people.
