Wool Carder Bee

I haven’t seen one of these for two or three years. When they do appear it is always in the same couple of square metres of the garden. More details in full screen, including the subtle pattern in its eye.

Puffball Update: The giant puffball has stopped growing at 24cms and is now in the ripening stage. It is discolouring and soft to the touch. Not long now. See extra shot.
