Christmas at Temple Newsam

Friday 31st December - New Years Eve

This afternoon we went for a walk at Temple Newsam. We discovered that there was an event on early evening and with a bit of research found there were tickets available. We decided to treat ourselves so abandoned the walk to save energy for later. 

3 hrs later we were back for "Christmas at Temple Newsam", a spectacular light display. We hadn't appreciated quite how far round the estate the trail went. Mum did so well! It took us just over an hour and a half to walk the trail, down from the house, up through the woods, back down to the lake and back up to the house. The lights were all set to music and it was very atmospheric. Impossible to sum it up in one photo - see a few more in the extras. At the end of the trail we treated ourselves to a Baileys Hot Chocolate.
