Every time We say good bye

We are definitely getting better at it.

No crying til the departure gate.

Typically one of us lets go before we've even left the house.  I squealed at her this  morning as she said "Oh I haven't said goodbye to the cats".

"STOP" I said

That was what set her off last time.  But we managed to the car... no tears.  Drove up, Uneventful.

Car park was so busy.

Queue was mediocre. However As I awaited the expecting emptying of bag at check in - I watched a couple wander up to a Qatar Flight attendant in the "Premier Platinum Class".

"But if you aren't going to Doha, why are you in this queue".

"The london flight will not allow us to board, we thought we could take another route"

"Why did they not let you board".

"We are positive for COVID".

HOW FECKING STUPID!!!!!!

She said "Kindly move over there, till I get some information for you - Stay away from other passengers".

Cue: the Platinum class pair in front having an almost apoplexy in front of checkin.  "It's okay" she assured them", I was between them and you - and I moved them, there weren't there for any more than 2 minutes.

I could have assured them, as I watched the whole thing play out.

I grabbed Himself and Tooli as they vacated check in, and steered them away from the COVID Pair.

How stupid eh?  They were turned away from London flight- wanted to go to America, so thought they would join the queue for Doha, because they were platinum from whence they came.

Last I saw the Lady was chasing them from the airport and telling them to go and Isolate from whence they came; and not to enter the airport for at least 10 day.

S T U P I D I T Y

We went upstairs then, looked at departure gate and her and me promptly burst into tears.  We reckoned taking a photo would make us stop... and it almost did.
