Early morning catch

Each evening the local fishermen go out in their dugout canoes on Lake Malawi and stay there all night with a small lantern attached to their boats! Tonight it is really rough on the lake and you can see the lights bobbing up and down in the darkness.

This morning, I met this guy who had just come in from his overnight fishing expedition and was selling these fish for sale. They are called Mpasa. Then later on another guy came along with a fish which was about 50kgs in weight and the most ugly thing! I took a photo of the enormous fish but decided to post this one in the end.

I really was quite concerned that I would not even have a chance of a blip today because we were in a meeting from early morning until after dark - and it really was dark because there was no electricity, but the stars were amazing!
