"you shall....

......NOT go to the ball??!"

After a last minute decision to gatecrash the sports ball next Friday I was in need of a dress for the occasion. Cue a dash to the shops to find something suitable. My chosen dress was in need of some alterations so with no faith or previous experience with Dundee dressmakers, I took the dress home to the lovely Charlene to try and work her magic on it! And this is a picture of just a small sample of all her tricks and tools - some of which I'm familiar with thanks to all those summers working in hire!

Sadly however, no amount of needle and thread work could solve the problem with the dress, due in part to a stubborn high waistband.... :(

If this Cinderella is to go to the ball, Charlene is going to have to work her magic on another dress instead. The problem with this one - I last wore it in August when I was in the middle of my jaw surgery recovery and as a result was at least a stone lighter than what I am now! Good luck! :)
