Wood on Wednesday

Both of our state teams are playing in college football bowl games this week. Michigan State plays Pittsburgh on Thursday, and Michigan plays Georgia on Friday.

I woke up early again, so I went into my den to finish these two pieces. They measure 9 inches high, and 14 inches long. 

If I ever get a chance to sell them, the buyer will get a twofer (two for the price of one.) In the extras, you can see that the backside of the fish is wood-burned, giving the buyer a chance to perhaps paint it themselves. (I love the knots in the tail of the top one.)

I haven't been out of the house since Friday, and am getting a little cabin-fevery. I maybe feel a little better, but am still having trouble sleeping, which makes me crankier than my normal cranky.

Maybe the football games will help me loosen the hold...of the dreaded man cold.
