Weather app said 'heavy rain' all day

As you all know, our weather app often lies. Today it said there was going to be 'heavy rain' all day. I went for a little 'toileting walk' at about 7.45am and it was pitch black. We could hardly see where we were going and Ann had forgotten to put my illuminating collar on me. But it wasn't raining??!! Our weather app is such a liar!!!

After breakfast we went out for my 'big' walk of the day. The plan was to walk for a couple of hours but do you know what?.............. after 10 mins we were both completely soaked through to our skin. Seemed like our weather app was correct after all?!! Ann said, 'Trixie, you don't need a big walk. Let's just go to the park instead.' Going to the park means that Ann can walk on proper paths so she doesn't get muddy and I can still have a run about. It takes us about an hour to go to the park and back so you can imagine how wet we were when we got home?????

This afternoon I had snooze time and Ann went to work for four hours. Ann loves her job at 'Wilkies' but honestly it is such an 'eye opener' at times.................. Selling shoes is one of the things she does................. 'Wilkies' sells some lovely shoes Ann hates climbing up ladders to 'get the other foot'. …..........The number of people who ask for a shoe horn when trying on shoes is incredible................... Ann had no idea that the majority of people who buy shoes cannot actually bend down to put their own shoes on???? And we're not just talking old people here. Ann defines an old person as anyone older than her. Lol!!! Since first lockdown my human has most definitely lost her flexibility/balance/general fitness etc, but at least she can still bend down to put her own shoes on???!!!

Anyway, once Ann got home we walked over to her friend, Susi's, for the evening. And the rain had stopped. Yay! Normally when Ann goes to Susi's I have to stay 'home alone' 'cos Susi has two timid cats and Ann doesn't think it's fair to take me, (even though I NEVER chase cats) because it's their home. Ann & Susi always just sit in Susi's kitchen and the cats are either outside or in one of the bedrooms but because I'd been 'home alone' all afternoon I was allowed to go. After a bit of silly puppy jumping up at Susi (& our friend Gaynor, who was also there) I just lay down in 'good dog mode'.

…...............And that's been our day.


Weather app is showing rain for the rest of our life................. but as you all know; our weather app is a big fat liar!!!
