Despite the more or less constant rain, the bird feeders were standing room only. A trip to the bird store for more birdseed is called for....

It's been a quiet day at home today. Spike wore himself out yesterday with frantic sniffing and circling looking, no doubt, for Sassy, the three legged cat asleep on the furnace grate behind the curtains. We put up a gate to protect her and the tree under which she was sleeping, but he still needed a couple of time-outs in the car to relax.

Dana and Jim walked up this morning for coffee  and Blake tried to get Spike to play with him. Spike has destroyed (and ingested) most of his best toys and the ones that are left don't lend themselves to dual play, even if Spike knew how to play! 

The big news of the day is that I took a bath in the new bathtub! It was not only luxurious, but I had no trouble getting in or out. Worth the cost of all the changes and a bonus is that I love the new tile....I'll post a picture when the light is a bit better. It's a difficult room to photograph under the best of conditions.
