and yes, I still have all 10 fingers!

A couple of days ago it was the current Mrs Mart's birthday. Now, what do you get the lady who has everything??? well apart from hand cream of course...

I decided that something hand made and personal would win me some brownie points. So I have bought some timber and have made a start on boxing in a couple of unsightly water butts. I know how to treat a lady!

I was going to blip my erection construction but:

a) It is not yet finished/still a work in progress

b) I have never been fully initiated in to the dark arts of spirit levels, measuring accurately and sawing neatly along lines

I have had my 'tool box pencil' for yonks. Probably 20 years. I have always wondered why it is a funny shape - today the current Mrs Mart illuminated me. Apparently it is so it does not roll away!! The depths of my ignorance never cease to amaze me.

Dozy has informed me that I MUST inform you that in yesterday's blip she was wearing my coat (over hers) and my hat, and my scarf. That is why she was looking particularly stylish... ;-)

In an effort to raise some money for sailing clobber (clobber is a technical, nautical term for clothes which although you look totally ridiculous in, at least stave off the pneumonia for a few hours) I have sold a camera lens. Jacca saw me counting out £200 in nice crisp twenties.

"Oh, I fancy £200 myself" he commented

I enquired as to what he was going to sell to raise this


"some more of your lenses!" he quipped.
