Possibly my last ever breath!

Mrs Mart's new spade arrived today (her birthday present from me)

In my defence I do wish to point out that it is a Rolls Royce of a spade. For the spade connoisseur among you it is a variation on the devon or gaelic spade.

The 1.8 metre ash handle gave Mrs Mart plenty of leverage as she swung it towards me.

As I gazed at my reflection in the stainless steel blade I could not help but ponder on the increased velocity/angular momentum of the blade due to the longer handle length when compared with a standard spade.

Interesting stuff eh?
