Diary of an Edinburgher

Christmas Day

A lovely day was enjoyed by all. Archie was especially pleased because his pal, Pip, from round the corner came to take him up the hill with his mum and dad. Great! This meant Archie’s mums didn’t need to take him out for a big walk in the cold weather. Though it was blue skies and sunny, we were assured that it was perishing cold up the hill.

We were able to potter about at leisure, having breakfast, opening presents and getting lunch ready. We were ALL spoiled. VERY spoiled. For the first time (while in Scotland) we didn’t have roast turkey. Roast beef it was, with all the roastie veges, of course. (Extra) We ate so much, we couldn’t manage the Christmas pudding… Tomorrow.

Pip and his mum and dad came round for drinkies and nibbles in the evening, and so that was a fun end to the day.

A most pleasant day.
