Sight For Sore Eyes

Up early, no real reason but I guess parents have a sixth sense, I’d just transferred my coffee from cafetière to mug when I saw a shadow at the door and there on the doorstep was Joshua. Home on leave via Sweden, Catterick and Kinloss.
It was great to see him and despite driving overnight he was keen to join me on my weekly visit to Richard & Jackie’s where we had coffee, Christmas cake and the now welcome tot of rum.
Home where Paddy was keen to reacquaint himself with Josh and they had the new 2m settee to do it on.
No Athenaeum Club Christmas Raffle for us tonight, I let Josh sleep before we had dinner and started to catch up on the past months.
