At home: Driving Jack..x
Our little driving cob, Jack is a cheeky little horse. This evening, he had a try being driven by someone else. This for Jack, poses as a problem. Not only does the driver have to know Jacks voice commands, like 'steady', walk on, halt, Gi (meaning go right), get over (meaning go left) but they also need to have a female, soft Emma like voice.
Jack, just fails to try and go forward for anyone else. This is a problem sometimes, because when logging, other people have to be able to ask the horse to 'step up' (move on a step). This might be the other loggers, who most likely are men. Jack just has to broaden his horizons. Its lovely to be needed by Jack, but other people need Jack too. Tonights training went really well. He walked on, after I walked along side, eventually he agreed and impressed everyone, and as always I he left me with a huge smile on my face. Thank you Jack...x
PS: sorry about the dodgy post edit....bad lighting..was trying to recover a potentially nice picture!
