At Ruardean: The lady of Shallot!
At Lodge Farm Kitchen, it was Boeuf Bourguignon day. "Boeuf Bourguignon conjures up images of Winter nights, wine, bread and lots of loud jolly people gathered around a table tucking in." (Louisa's packet and accurate description of the wholesome dish)
The ingredients are so warming and wintery...perfect for this long winter that keeps rolling on. In fact, the question of 'where spring has sprung off to?' disappears at the sight of a blushing shallot, a splash of red wine and a handful thyme.
Cunningly put together like you would do at home. Well, thats if you had lots of time, wine and blushing shallots! x
