The Evening Commute

Across to see my mother at 09.45hrs with a few messages and a basket of goodies for the care home staff who look after her so well.  I then went through to Kirkwall to get some logs and a pineapple.  I met Leslie Manson in the queue of the Frozen Food Centre – I think the last time I met him was on Ben Hope.  He didn’t mention Bob.  I met Rosie too – first time I’ve seen her this year without her pushbike. 


On the way home I went in past to see Dougal and his keeper – I’ve invited him doon to play next week. Back at HQ I picked some sprouts (very good this year) and dug carrots and parsnips. 


CMC advised me to retire to the Bothy to have a dram; she’s never seen me shift so quick.
